Meet Jeffery Wheeler

Pastor Jeffery Wheeler has faithfully served in ministry for more than 48 years, with 47 of those years dedicated to pastoring Tabernacle Baptist Church in Alexandria, Virginia. Born in Fairfax, Virginia, he is blessed with his devoted wife, Erlinda Wheeler, their two daughters, one son-in-law, nine grandchildren, and two great-grandchildren.

At the age of 17, Pastor Wheeler came to a saving knowledge of Jesus Christ, was born again, and filled with zeal for the Lord. Soon after, God confirmed his call to ministry through a dream. From that moment, the Lord has used him mightily—leading spiritual warfare conferences that equip and strengthen believers in their battle against the forces of darkness, and hosting couples’ retreats where marriages and families are being strengthened, restored, and revived by the power of God.

With a deep passion for the Black and Hispanic communities, Pastor Wheeler has devoted his life to guiding people toward freedom and deliverance through the power of Jesus Christ. He is also deeply committed to educating and providing open forums on spiritual warfare, equipping believers with the knowledge, wisdom, and spiritual tools needed to stand strong against the unseen powers of darkness.

A seasoned shepherd, teacher, and mentor, Pastor Wheeler continues to pour into lives with wisdom, compassion, and unwavering dedication to the gospel. In his downtime, he enjoys playing basketball, is a competitive Uno player, and has a love for anything spicy not to mention his homemade poundcake is a crowd pleaser.
